Posted 07/09/2008 09:51:30 AM | | I am a reviewer for Galaxies, a SF magazine in France. I discovered Murky Depths while I was writing an article about British magazines for Galaxies.
When I read Murky Depths, I found it amazing. It was one of the best magazines I had seen. And as I was exploring sites where readers of SF magazines write their opinion, I found out that I was not the only one to appreciate Murky Depths. Apparently many people, especially young ones love Murky Depths.
Besides the beautiful illustrations, the short stories are original, it is really a pleasure to read them and you don't have a feeling of "déjà vu" like it is unfortunately the case with some other SF short stories.
The graphic novels are excellent too. the combination of graphic novels and illustrated short stories where SF is often associated to dark fiction is original and very clever.
At a moment when the SF magazines -especially the important ones- are in crisis, it is delightful to see a magazine like Murky Depths.
Congratulations to the editors, keep up the excellent work! (And I apologize for my English).
